Nick Digilio is an idiot and a television zombie. He was ,coming some people who work with him and others for not ever seeing or knowing of the television show called the "Wire" for people so indulged in television and the fantasy characters of their preferred shows they can't phantom that others may have no interest in it.
I have seen this lame cop show once and the Wire is just another boring cop show whose plots have been recycled over and over again. Many of these television cop shows just get their ideas from real ice crimes and this brings about what is the problem with this type of programming. I really don't think cop shows are really popular and just easier for the oligarch media outlets to put out programming for the public. 
The Wire didn't last too long as one not as popular as a Nick Digilio would of hoped thus causing great disappointment to the nimrod once the program went away. I think it was on TV maybe five years and the ratings were never spectacular and producers decided to move on to something else. That some people in their twenties and so forth would never had watched or had more going on in their lives to remember this cop show should be of little surprise. For a dork like this movie critic and radio host at WGN radio this became an issue for talk and I wonder if dummy Digilio really knows that there are millions who are not glued to nightly television viewership. When I hear people who repeat movie lines or talk television and movies all of the time this is a sign to me that this person has really little intellect and important things to think about. Cop shows are about as entertaining as hanging around a real police percent all day. Police shows like CSI are pretty much government propaganda that you must follow and behave otherwise they will get you and this is pretty much what role television shows and why there is so much utter crap like these cookie cutter programs as the Wire.
