So i have made it no secret that i love the Barry M Gelly Shine nail polishes; the formula and the shade range is absolutely amazing. They have everything i like about a nail polish, they are super shiny and they last a long time without chipping. But which do i think is better the Barry M or Revlon version?
When i was on my facebook the other day there was an advertisement for the new Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy nail enamel and i knew i had to try them. I purchased the shade 120 Hot Hand on my latest trip to Boots because it is a lovely hot pink shade. When i got home i noticed it had little flecks of blue shimmer in it which are barely noticeable but made me like it even more. This kind of duel colour is my favourite thing. On the nails the blue does not show up, it just looks super pink. When it applies, it gives off a very strong colour immediately but i would definitely advise two coats. I ended up doing three just because i wanted the brightest colour and the longest lasting power that i could. The brush is great and the polish just glides on your nails with little hassle.
The finish is not as glossy as the Barry M polishes but i do prefer the Revlon shade range, there are a lot more bolder colours which i like. The Revlon nail polish lasts a bit longer than the Barry M one without chipping which is massively important to me.
Overall i defintely like the Revlon Gel Envy Polishes and i will be buying more colours because i am super impressed with them but i do still love the Barry M ones. Overall i think i prefer the Revlon ones because i prefer the more matt finish and the lasting effects.
So there you go there are my thoughts on the new Revlon Gel Envy polishes, will you be buying any or have you tried them and what are your thoughts, let me know in the comments.
